Specific configuration instructions are required to configure IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence 8.4.1 with IBM Cognos 8 TM1 portlets or IBM Cognos 8 Planning or IBM Cognos 8 Controller to operate together.

We recommend that you call customer support if you are planning on using this 8.4.1 release in the same environment as your current version of Cognos Enterprise Planning. While these instructions will ensure that you can use these two products together in the same environment, there may be performance implications to your existing planning application that you should be aware of. While these implications are being addressed in a bug fix, you should be aware of them while you are considering the implementation of this release.
